50 Cent, also known as Curtis Jackson, allegedly kicked the mother of his child and destroyed parts her property during an argument in June of this year. The woman in question, Daphne Joy, is the mother of Jackson's second child.

50 Cent made a deal yesterday in which the domestic violence charge was dropped.

It appears the rapper kicked Joy during an argument and damaged numerous items of her property including chandeliers, furniture, a television, a lamp and Joy's clothes. He caused, according to reports in TMZ, around $7100 worth of damage.

50 Cent was facing five charges including one charge of domestic violence and four of vandalism. The incident occurred on 23 June at Joy's condo in Toluca Lake in Los Angeles.

The 38-year-old rapper was, despite pleading not guilty in August to the charges, facing jail time and a large fine. A judge, shortly after the incident, ruled that 50 Cent should not contact Joy and must remain 100 yards away from her at all times. He has also been told to turn in all his guns.

Daphne Joy is the mother of 50 Cent's second child and the woman involved in the court case.

However he struck a deal with prosecutors yesterday (28th October), as TMZ reports, ensuring the domestic violence charge was dropped and agreed to plead no contest to one count of vandalism. As a result 50 Cent was sentenced to a three year probation period, thirty days community service, counselling sessions and to pay Joy damages for her property.

It is unsure if Jackson will be allowed his guns back - we'd hope not! The restraining order, filed in August, is also still in effect. Nevertheless, Jackson is still pleased with the deal. His attorney Scott Leemon, speaking to USA Today, said Jackson "is pleased the case is resolved and the domestic violence charge was dropped."
