Boy band 98 Degrees are reuniting for a one-night-only show in Pennsylvania.
Pop star-turned-Tv presenter Nick Lachey, hit brother Drew and their bandmates, Jeff Timmons and Justin Jeffre, are set for their first show in seven years as part of the Summer Mixtape Festival in Hersey in August (12).
The quartet broke onto the music scene in the late 1990s with songs like True To Your Heart and Because of You, but the bandmates announced a hiatus in 2002 and they haven't released a new record since.
Announcing the one-off reunion on U.S. radio show On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday (20Jun12), Drew Lachey said, "Most of us have families or kids on the way so it really is about making sure that everybody can take care of their own responsibilities at home, and with their family, and with their private lives."
And there could be more shows if August's get together proves successful. Lachey added, "If we can get together and do more that would be great. We've missed working with each other, performing together. So, we're always open to that opportunity."
98 Degrees last performed in September, 2005.
It's sure to be a big summer for the band's most successful member, Nick Lachey - he's set to become a first-time dad.
