Hotel Transylvania 2 Trailer

Count Dracula seems to have really changed his ways, embracing humans and allowing them to stay at his monster-filled Hotel Transylvania after taking a shine to his daughter Mavis' new human boyfriend Johnny. Now the pair have a child together named Dennis, and despite having vampire in his blood, he doesn't seem to possess any monster ability of any kind. When Mavis and Johnny take a break to visit the latter's parents, she asks her dad to babysit her son - but that probably wasn't the best idea. In charge of young Dennis, Dracula enlists his friends Frank, Murray, Wayne and Griffin to train him up to be a real monster, and take him on a trip of their own. But when Mavis finds out what they're up to, she's less than happy and makes to come home. But she's not the only one; Dracula's father Vlad is making a surprise visit, and he's not going to be happy that the hotel is filled with humans.

Vanilla Ice Adam Sandler

In the wake of approximately a dozen cast members walking off set last week, Vanilla Ice has come to the defence of Adam Sandler’s new comedy western The Ridiculous Six.

The former rap star, who plays the role of Mark Twain in the movie, defended the content of the exclusive-to-Netflix project against accusations that the humour was offensive to Native American culture.

In an interview with TMZ, Ice said “It’s a comedy. I don’t think anybody really had any ill feeling or any intent or anything. This movie isn’t Dances With Wolves. It’s a comedy. They’re not there to showcase anything about anybody – they’re just making a funny movie, I think.”

In 1982, Earth created a time capsule of popular culture from the era, and sent it into space in order to establish contact with extra-terrestrial life. Somehow, an ancient race of alien lifeforms that have never had any other contact with mankind did not understand the meaning of the 'message'. They especially take offence to the inclusion of 'Pac Man' and 'Donkey Kong', and assemble an army of pixelated, murderous 1980s video game characters and send them back to Earth to destroy the humans. With the world on the brink of destruction by a giant 'Pac Man', mankind has just one hope: a hodgepodge collection of retro gamers, using their old techniques to defeat the greatest video game boss of all time.

Men, Women & Children Review

OK

There's a fundamental flaw to this multi-strand social media-themed drama: it's told completely from the perspective of older people who are fearful about the possibilities, rather than the generation for whom electronic communication is the norm. It's well-made by director Jason Reitman (age 36) and his cowriter Erin Cressida Wilson (50) from the novel by Chad Kultgen (38), but it kind of misses the point that this is the future of human interaction. So younger (or more switched-on) viewers won't buy the cautionary message.

IR's set in Austin, Texas, where Rachel and Don (Rosemarie DeWitt and Adam Sandler) are each so focussed on finding space outside their marriage that they don't notice that their teen son Chris (Travis Tope) is hanging out with self-proclaimed slutty cheerleader Hannah (Olivia Crocicchia). Her best friend Allison (Elena Kamporis) is starving herself to be like her, spurred on by her mother (Judy Greer), who is doing everything she can to make Allison a star. Meanwhile, Patricia (Jennifer Garner) is desperate to control how her daughter Brandy (Kaitkyn Dever) uses small-screens, especially worried about her growing friendship with Tim (Ansel Elgort), whose father (Dean Norris) is annoyed that he has quit the school football team.

Oddly, the film seems to adopt the adults' fears as its central tone: the internet and mobile phone communications are potentially dangerous, addictive and isolating. But this makes the film feel more like a sermon than a set of intertwined stories. A far more interesting approach would be to explore how communication and relationships are shifting due to the influence of online media. Indeed, the generational aspects to the films various plotlines are the most compelling elements, with clashing points of view between grown-ups and kids. But audience members who believe that mobile phones and social media sites are the future will struggle with the way Reitman presents them as inherently troublesome.

Blended Review

OK

Even with its inane script and limp direction, this film is watchable simply because Drew Barrymore is present to humanise Adam Sandler. How she does this is a mystery, but the fact remains that he's annoyingly unlikeable without her. And history proves the point: Sandler's best-ever performances were in two films opposite Barrymore, 1998's The Wedding Singer and 2004's 50 First Dates. Although this movie isn't quite in that league.

They play Lauren and Jim, who meet on a disastrous blind date and vow never to see each other again. But they end up inadvertently sharing a safari holiday to South Africa when Lauren's best pal (Wendi McLendon-Covey) and Jim's boss cancel a holiday with their five kids. Which is handy since Lauren has two energetic sons (Braxton Beckham and Kyle Red Silverstein) while Jim has three needy daughters (Bella Thorne, Emma Fuhrmann and Alyvia Alyn Lind). Of course, the children are happy to have same-sex role models along, even if Lauren and Jim can't bear to be around each other.

There isn't a split-second when we don't know exactly where this plot is heading, even though the script veers wildly between wacky slapstick mayhem and sappy lesson-learning sentimentality. Every scene is carefully concocted to elicit either laughter or tears, and the manipulative filmmaking occasionally works. Although the movie's funniest moments are offhanded gags that feel improvised between Barrymore and Sandler. The child actors are all decent, carefully cast so each each simplistic character can have his or her corny journey to some sort of personal discovery.

The Top 5 Worst Rated Adam Sandler Movies

Adam Sandler Kevin James Chris Rock Drew Barrymore Jennifer Aniston Nicole Kidman

Adam Sandler's alleged humour responds with teenage boys, and teenage boys at heart, around the world. His films contain enough toilet humour and slapstick comedy to rival The Three Stooges. Unfortunately, few of them have ever gone down well with the critics.

Adam Sandler
Adam Sandler stars in Blended - but will it become one of his worst films ever?

His latest film, Blended, starring Drew Barrymore follows two single parents as they endure a disastrous blind date. Evidently despising each other, they are forced to meet again following a mix up and somewhere end up on vacation in Africa along with their numerous children. It's a fairly obvious cocktail, disgust will turn to love on the plains of Africa and the two will manage to unite their families. Along the way there'll be a host of silly antics and misunderstandings which will quickly be swept under the carpet whilst the sun sets on a romantic first kiss.

Working With Adam Sandler Is Humiliating, Says Kevin Nealon

Being friends with Adam Sandler is probably embarrassing enough but working with the guy is a whole new level of humiliating according to Kevin Nealon, who aside from being Sandler’s buddy, starred alongside Drew Barrymore in his latest movie, Blended - out this Friday.

“It’s always a humiliating role for me. I’m usually some schlub. I had t—s on my head in (the demon comedy) Little Nicky, I had horrible plastic surgery in Just Go With It. I was the Neighborhood Watch guy in (You Don’t Mess with the) Zohan, who kept crapping his pants because he was scared,” says Nealon, according to The Toronto Sun. “I’ve got to get to the bottom of this. Our kids go to the same school now.”
