Nearing the end of a massively successful and lucrative tour supporting a similarly massive and lucrative album, Adele has the whole world in the palm of her hand at the moment.

However, one person didn’t quite think she was all she was cracked up to be – at least on first impression. Bruno Mars recalled that, when he worked with her while co-writing the song ‘All I Ask’ for her album 25, she was a “diva” – and not in a good way!

“She walks into the studio and she's got all this attitude. She's a diva. She's like, 'I don't want to do this. I don't like that,'” 31 year old Mars recalled when being interviewed by KTU 103.5’s Cubby & Carolina Bermudez In The Morning show on Tuesday (October 25th).

However, things quickly got under way properly, and he and Adele were able to strike up a decent relationship personally as well as professionally.

“Then, as soon as we hit a couple chords that she liked, we started rolling - and that's where we got that song from,” the pop star said.

“She's incredible. There was a moment when she was singing in the booth - I'm not exaggerating at all - and the water was vibrating. Like, you know, that scene in Jurassic Park? She's got some pipes on her, and she's just a superstar.”

With Mars previously having headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in 2014, and with Adele rumoured to be in the running to perform at the next event in February, could there be a live collaboration in the offing?

“I don't know what she's waiting on, man," he replied. "I'm like, 'Come on, Adele!' Like, send an email. Let me know!”
