Exodus: Gods and Kings - Featurettes

Director Ridley Scott (Alien, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven) talks about world of his new film, 'Exodus: Gods and Kings'. The film follows the life of Moses (Christian Bale), and works on "the complexity of his character". Scott also talks about what drew him to the material, namely, the "beauty in the massive scale of it". He discusses the process of using computers to turn four thousand extras look like twenty thousand soldiers. Aside from the battle scenes, we see evidence of the biblical plagues that come from the original story at work.

During the UK miners strike between 1984 and 1985, working families are in desperate need of support. They're feeling victimised and abandoned by society as threats over their livelihood remain imminent. But they're not the only ones feeling ostracised in their own country and that's how the Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners campaign was born. Homophobia is rife in the UK, with the National Union of Mineworkers even refusing help from the LGSM campaigners for fear of how people may see them. Instead, they take their support to a small town in Wales where the majority of workers there are miners. In an extraordinary show of acceptance in an unlikely era, the town allows their new supporters to raise funds for their village. The townspeople may be humorously ignorant about life as a homosexual, but they're judging no longer.

Exodus: Gods And Kings Trailer

Moses and the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses grew up together as brothers after the former was saved from drowing in the Nile. However, Moses has not forgotten the reason why he was cast into the river; all newborn Israelites were condemned to death by the past Pharaoh for fear of their growing numbers. Now he is enlisted by God to save the Israelites from their slavery at the hands of the Pharaoh's people, but to do so he must turn his back on his brother and friend. The Egyptians fight back as Moses defiantly leads the Israelites on an arduous journey across the desert, while God unleashes a series of horrific plagues and turns their Nile to blood. Egypt face new dangers as God decides that rules need to be laid down for Moses and his people.

The Inbetweeners 2 Trailer

The four musketeers are back once again after their eventful (and mostly deeply embarrassing) post-A Level escapades in Malia. While we saw them apparently bag themselves the girls of their dreams, unsurprisingly it doesn't look like the romance has lasted and now they are back to their single selves - well, apart from Simon. When Simon, Will and Neil decide to join Jay on his gap year in sunny Australia, Simon struggles to dump his overbearing and uber needy girlfriend. He's still as awkward as ever, Neil's still stupid, Jay is still a total liar and Will's mum is still fit, but the boys have a brand new car now dubbed the 'Mobile Virgin Conversion Unit'. Armed with sunscreen, condoms and bags of charm, these lads are on one last mission to climb the social hierarchy ladder.

'The Inbetweeners 2' follows on from the pre-university lads' holiday of 'The Inbetweeners Movie'; an award winning big screen spin-off of the popular Channel 4 comedy series. With Ben Palmer having directed the first movie, creators of the TV series Damon Beesley and Iain Morris have taken on the role this time while also writing the script. The movie is scheduled to hit the UK and Ireland on August 6th 2014.
