The Victoria's Secret angels have been hired as food and culture contributors for special segments airing during NBC's late night programming, and will also appear in culture features across various platforms.
Alessandra is excited to show off the best of Brazil with her new gig, telling People magazine, "I am so proud that the games are in Rio this year. The city's traditions and beautiful nature set it apart, but the people make the city so special."
And Adriana adds that having the Games in Rio de Janeiro is particularly exciting since citizens across the country are crazy about the sporting world.
"Brazilians are very passionate about sports, sports run in our blood!" she said. "We're just so honoured to have this huge event in our country. This way the whole world will have a chance to experience our culture up close."
The 35-year-old models have already started their new jobs by interviewing some of Team USA's most popular athletes, including swimmer Ryan Lochte and beach volleyball veteran Kerri Walsh Jennings, by teaching them Portuguese.
After their lesson, Alessandra says she's looking forward to cheering on Kerri as she goes for her fourth Olympic medal, but also reveals she's rooting for her friend Neymar da Silva Santos Junior as he represents Brazil in soccer.
"And of course I'm rooting for the Brazilian soccer team and Neymar, as he is a good friend," she smiled. "I love him because he is the God of Brazilian soccer."
The sporting event may also mark a runway comeback for Gisele Bundchen, with reports claiming the Brazilian model will be hitting the catwalk to represent her home country during the opening ceremony at Maracana Stadium.
The 2016 Summer Olympics kick off on 5 August (16).
