Fact: R&B star Akon has reportedly purchased a $350,000 (GBP233,000) bulletproof van for an African president. The bosses at The Auto Firm in Florida tell TMZ.com Akon ordered the 2014 Mercedes Sprinter from them a year ago and asked them to reinforce the whole thing in bulletproof armour, but it's not known who the Senegalese singer will be gifting the vehicle to.
