ROSIE O'DONNELL expressed her adoration of Honey Boo Boo, the pre-teen 'go go juice' addict, a couple of weeks ago when she offered to buy Honey Boo Boo and her family a new house. Having been graciously turned down, O'Donnell hasn't given up in her plight to help the family out, and she has now offered to renovate their existing house instead after Mama June mentioned that it really needed some work doing to it.

O'Donnell originally likened Alana Thompson, aka Honey Boo Boo, to Shirley Temple, and added "She has a presence and an intellect that goes way beyond her years." With the initial offer of an entirely brand new house rejected by HBB's Mama June, O'Donnell agreed to do renovations, saying, with a degree of excitement, "We're in! Are you kidding me? Of course...They do that Extreme Makeover show - hello! I will call David Zaslav [President and CEO of Discovery Communications] when I get home. I will say [the family is] very into an addition, maybe we get Home Depot to chip in, and we make it the Christmas special: Rosie O'Donnell and Honey Boo Boo's Renovation', reported People.

O'Donnell really wants to muck in and help the with the house's renovations personally. Plus, she'd love to meet the family and has praised the show 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' with realism and humanity. "They're taking a family that is supposed to be perceived as 'less than' and showing them [to have] humanity and value," she said. "I don't watch that much TV anymore - some of the shows like the Real Housewives, I never got into that. People are mean to each other. It's not my thing." 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo is looking forward to some upcoming specials for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
