The Hail Caesar! star landed one of the most sought-after parts in the industry earlier this year (16), and will play a young version of Harrison Ford's iconic character in the new project.

It was announced last month (Oct16) that Glover would be playing a young Lando Calrissian in the movie, a role previously made famous by Billy Dee Williams in the early Star Wars films.

Ehrenreich, 26, is keen to get started on the film, especially now Glover has been added to the cast of the yet-to-be-titled upcoming movie.

"I'm really excited to work with him," he said of the actor, writer and comedian, who most recently starred in The Martian. "I think he's going to be great in the role. He's such an interesting guy and a wonderful actor. He's just going to do something with that role that I think is going to be really exciting for everybody."

While he's taking over from Ford with his own interpretation of Han Solo, Ehrenreich admitted he hadn't met the Hollywood veteran yet, or gotten any advice from him. "I haven't," he shared, when asked whether he's met the original space smuggler.

The Han Solo movie is slated for release in 2018.
