Alec Baldwin found it ''maddening'' growing up in a big family.

The 'Still Alice' actor - who has three brothers and two sisters - would love to have more children with wife Hilaria but insists it is not his upbringing which has left him broody.

He said: ''Coming from my big family doesn't necessarily mean I want to have a big family.

''They were a little maddening at times, my brothers.''

However, the 57-year-old star - who already has daughters Ireland, 19 and Carmen, two, and three-month-old son Rafael - hasn't ruled out the possibility of adding to his brood in the future.

He shared to PEOPLE magazine: ''When a baby shows up that person was meant to be here. And if there is one more meant to be here, or two more meant to be here, so be it.''

And Alec couldn't help but gush about his family, admitting he's ''never been happier''.

He said recently: ''I love my wife more than anything. I love our family, I'm very happy. I've never been happier before in my life ...

''Even my daughter Ireland has been visiting and we see her falling more in love with Carmen every day. It's really fun. This is the best time of my life and I owe it all to my wife, truly.''
