Alex Clare and Rebecca Ferguson headlined BT London Live in Hyde Park yesterday (31.07.12).

Singer-songwriter Alex performed songs including his number one single 'Too Close' as well as tracks from his album 'The Lateness of the Hour' and was delighted to be included in an Olympic event.

Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz from the BT House at BT London Live, he joked: ''It feels wonderful. I was supposed to perform in the gymnastic final but I couldn't fit into my leotard!''

Alex also said he had enjoyed watching the surprise appearance from fellow singer Frank Turner at the Olympics opening ceremony last Friday (27.07.12).

He added: ''Frank's the definition of underground success and he's literally a British modern icon for folk music and rock music. I completely understand why he was asked to play. He's awesome.''

Former 'The X Factor' winner Rebecca performed on the main stage wowing the crowd with hits including 'Nothing's Real but Love' and new single 'Backtrack'.

Despite the miserable weather and a large number of umbrellas amongst the crowd, Rebecca said she had enjoyed the day, tweeting: ''Had so much fun at hyde park :) xx (sic)''

BT London Live has two performers each day in Hyde Park and shows all the action from the Olympic games on giant screens. Events there continue right up to the closing ceremony. Alexandra Burke, McFly and Lemar are amongst many other artists still left to play.
