Actor Alexander Ludwig's The Hunger Games co-star Josh Hutcherson has defended the teenager after he was kicked out of a Los Angeles club, insisting American politicians need to review underage drinking laws.
The 19-year-old sparked an investigation into security policies at The Sayers Room after he was spotted leaving the over-21 club on Tuesday night (10Apr12).
A representative for the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control has confirmed agents are looking into the matter - because the actor is too young to even get into the venue.
Club bosses insist the actor was asked to leave when he was spotted by security.
But now Ludwig's The Hunger Games castmate, Hutcherson, has jumped to his defence, insisting it's ridiculous that 18 and 19 year olds can't drink in Hollywood.
Asked to comment on the Ludwig controversy, the actor tells Tmz.com, "I think the age to go to war is 18... so I think the drinking age should be 18 as well."
