The cult show creator has been speaking about the success of four specials earlier this year
Cult hit show The Gilmore Girls returned to our screens via Netflix late last year for four much-hyped 90 minute-long episodes. The sitcom - which originally finished airing in 2007 - was met with praise for the Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life Of and now, creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, has revealed what it would take to revive the show once again.
Lauren Graham revived the role of Lorelai Gilmore late last year
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Sherman- Palladino said there would need to be an "open bar" as well as the "right" story and format.

Could streaming service Netflix be about to make the dreams of ‘Gilmour Girls’ fans come true, finally?
Streaming service Netflix is reportedly in negotiations to revive beloved series ‘Gilmour Girls’, reuniting creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and original stars, Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel. Graham and Bledel played mother-daughter duo Lorelai and Rory Gilmore on the popular WB drama, from 2000-2007.
Lauren Graham stared as mother Lorelai in ‘Gilmour Girls’.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix is looking to approach the revival as four 90-minute movies as opposed to a 10-episode series. The series is proving to be one of the most popular shows on the streaming service, which carries all seven seasons.

But don't get your hopes up about a Stars Hollow reunion.
'Gilmore Girls' creator Amy Sherman-Palladino may have disappointed us recently with the news that there will be no revival of the iconic series, but the screenwriter is currently working on a musical - though we're yet to find out what it will be about.
Alexis Bledel starred as Rory in 'Gilmore Girls'
Ok, so we're probably going to have to wave goodbye to Stars Hollow, but at least creator Amy Sherman-Palladino is working on new projects to obsess about. At the ATX Television Festival in Austin on Saturday (June 6th 2015), she seemed excited to reveal that she was currently working on a book for a musical. And while she refused to reveal any significant details about it save for it being 'based on a movie nobody would have seen', she did insist that it would be an 'original' piece.

Alexis Bledel - A host of celebrities took to the red carpet as they attended the Opening night for Billy and Ray at the Vineyard Theatre, New York City, New York, United States - Monday 20th October 2014
The couple tied the knot in private a couple months ago.
Former Gilmore Girl Alexis Bledel is married to Vincent Kartheiser. The couple snuck the wedding past everyone and actually tied the knot back in June, but the news is just making the rounds two months later. A rep confirmed the announcement for ABC News. Kartheiser plays Pete Campbell on Mad Men and the pair met on set, when Bledel guest starred on the AMC show. It was fitting too, since Bledel’s character was having an affair with Kartheiser.
The actor proposed just a year later. At the time, his co-star Elisabeth Moss told People: “"They are such a yin and yang. I've known Vinny for 12 years and Alexis is just the sweetest. I've never seen Vincent like this. It is really cool."

The actress is reportedly having a hard time dealing with the role.
It was going rather well for the Fifty Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor-Johnson and her team: after what seemed like ages they'd managed to pull off a great casting decision, choosing two actors on the cusp of big-time fame. However, they were not only hit by a 90k strong petition telling them their choice was wrong; they had to say goodbye to Charlie Hunnam, AKA Christian Grey, and learn their Anastasia Steele, Dakota Johnson, had a touch of the heebie jeebies too.
Dakota Johnson Could Be Thinking Of Leaving '50 Shades.'
Sons of Anarchy star Hunnam's exit was confirmed earlier this week due to an "immersive TV schedule" that would prevent the actor from being able to fully prepare for the role of Christian Grey. The film took a hit, author EL James sent her best, and fans began to wonder whether Hunnam had secretly been influenced by the petition launched to replace him and Johnson with Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel.
Shocker: Fifty Shades of Grey reinforces the problem of abuse against women, new research has shown. Nope, it seems EL James' novel - the fastest selling paperback of all time - cannot be regarded simply as "erotic fantasy."
Amy Bonomi, a professor at Michigan State University, and two former colleagues from Ohio State University undertook an in-depth study of the book's first eight chapters and found that "emotional abuse is present in nearly every interaction."
They found that the book, dubbed "mummy porn," included a number of examples of "intimate partner violence", including intimidation, isolation, stalking and humiliation.

He won't be the one wielding the whips and chains.
Actor Garrett Hedlund has rejected the lead role in the adaptation of EL James' raunchy erotic novel, Fifty Shades of Grey due to being unable to commit to a trilogy. The movie, which has yet to cast a single role, is due for release in 2014 with the Nowhere Boy director, Sam Taylor Johnson, at the helm and the author herself as producer.
"Do I Really Want To Be Filmed Slapping Someone With A Paddle? Nah."
The Tron: Legacy actor had been reportedly hand-picked by the author herself to play the 27 year-old billionaire with a fetish for domination. However, the actor and boyfriend of Kirsten Dunst passed up on the opportunity to become the face of the biggest franchise since the series. A source speaking to US Magazine explained that "Doing a possible trilogy was too big a commitment, and producers wouldn't let him do just one film."
