This year's event will focus on the talents of Africa's entrepreneurs, artists, designers, musicians and activists, according to Billboard.com.

"Their future is bright," Keys says, "but, with 25 million people currently living with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa, we need to get AIDS out of the picture once and for all for Africans to reach their full potential."

The charity gala will take place at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom on 5 November (15). In addition to hosting the event, Keys will also run the New York City marathon on 1 November (15) in support of the charity.
