The couple are already parents to three year old Egypt Daoud Dean. Rumours of Alicia’s pregnancy started when she performed at The Beatles’ 50th Anniversary concert earlier this year. Singing a duet version of ‘Let It Be’ with John Legend, she appeared to be displaying a bump.
The pair had kept the news under wraps for some time, but back in November of last year the couple indicated to E! News that they might consider having another child, and that Egypt was enthusiastic to be a big brother.
The new child will have some impeccably cool parents: Alicia revealed that she will be a team mentor on the US revision of the hit reality music show ‘The Voice’ later this year. She’ll be starring alongside man-of-the-moment Pharrell Williams and his team of aspirant musicians and singers. Four of her five studio albums to date have been US Billboard chart toppers.
Her 35 year old husband Swizz Beatz, real name Kasseem Dean, is in the middle of a career mini-break having spent most of the last twelve years constantly making music or producing it for others.
