Amber Le Bon says layering is essential for winter.

The British beauty - whose parents are Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon and model Yasmin Le Bon - thinks it's important to play with different fabrics and textures in the colder months so she keeps cosy while remaining fashionable.

She told HELLO! Magazine: ''Layering is essential. Black ankle socks over your black tights, thin-ish jumpers and a hoodie under a coat, alongside a hat and gloves.

''When it's cold I usually have a bag big enough to put at least some of my layers in.''

The 24-year-old model will be keeping it simple this Christmas and toning down the sparkles by adding black to her festive wardrobe.

Amber said: ''I usually wear black jeans and a fun sparkly top, or a black dress. I still like to keep it quite chic and simple, even though it's Christmas.''

The brunette is looking forward to what 2014 has in store because of the variation her modelling career offers.

She explained: ''The life of a model is so varied that I never know what will be happening from one week to the next.

''I love the variety and spontaneity of it all but it does make it difficult to plan sometimes.''
