UGLY BETTY star America Ferrera and HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2 hunk Zac Efron were crowned king and queen of family entertainment at the ninth Family Television Awards on Wednesday (28Nov07) night. Ferrera, 23, who plays lead character Betty in the hit ABC show, scooped the prestigious Best Actress gong while Efron, 20, won Best Actor for his portrayal of heartthrob Troy Bolton in the popular Disney sequel - which also landed the Best Movie Musical award. Ugly Betty also won Best Comedy at the ceremony held at the Beverly Hilton, Los Angeles, while Pushing Up Daisies was named Best New Series, and Heroes was named Best Drama.
