Amy Adams doesn't want Lois Lane caught up in a love triangle.

The 39-year-old actress - who plays the love interest of Superman - doesn't want any rivalry to go on between Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) in the 'Man of Steel' sequel and would prefer them to team up instead.

Speaking to Coming Soon, she said: ''I hope that I can be involved with a woman on screen where we're not in a love triangle. That would be fun. Maybe where we team up together and we work as team mates instead of adversaries.''

Gadot - who is known for her role of Gisele in the 'Fast & Furious' franchise - was cast earlier this week and will join Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck, who will play caped crusader Batman.

Meanwhile, Adams previously said she was pleased she doesn't have to play a superhero in the film because she doesn't think she looks good enough in lycra.

She said previously: ''I've wanted to be in a superhero movie, and this was my best chance - as some mere mortal. Let's be real here. I don't look that good in Lycra. I do all right, but I hadn't anticipated that I was ever going to be cast as the girl in Lycra looking hot.''
