When a fan decided to video and photograph Schumer while she was out jogging in Greenville, South Caroline, she wasn't exactly happy about the approach and made her feelings perfectly clear on social media. The fan in question however, named Leslie Brewer, has opened up about the barage of abuse he's had from her fans since.

He told TMZ that he's been incessantly harassed about the incident which happened over the weekend, with Schumer fans going all out with racist taunts and death threats against his family. One alleged comment was 'If we see him we will jump him for you'. Despite this, Brewer has not reported his concerns to the police and merely asks Schumer to tell her fans to leave him alone.

Schumer took to Instagram on Saturday with the following complaint: 'This guy in front of his family just ran up next to me scared the s*** out of me. Put a camera in my face. I asked him to stop and he said "No it's America and we paid for you" this was in front of his daughter. I was saying stop and no. Great message to your kid. Yes legally you are allowed to take a picture of me. But I was asking you to stop and saying no. I will not take pictures with people anymore and it's because of this dude in Greenville.'

Brewer denies he was that invasive, telling Fox News: 'I did it in a non-threatening way. She says I got all up in her face, and it was completely different from the video.' In response to her posting his picture all over social media, he said: 'You're a celebrity. I understand you want to blast me but that's petty, that's beneath you.'

It appears Schumer is sticking to her guns, however, and hasn't removed the photo from her Instagram.
