Anna Friel has joined the cast of 'The King of Soho'.

The 'Pushing Daisies' star is one of three actresses to sign up for the comedy drama - a biopic of porn publisher and club owner Paul Raymond - with 'Chalet Girl' beauty Tamsin Egerton and Filth's Imogen Poots also on board.

Steve Coogan will play the lead character, with Anna starring as his wife, Tamsin his glamour model girlfriend and Imogen as his beloved daughter.

Michael Winterbottom - who previously worked with Steve on 'The Trip', Tristram Shandy: A Cock And Bull Story, and '24 Hour Party People' - is directing the movie from a script penned by 'Control' and 'Nowhere Boy' writer Matt Greenhalgh.

The director said in a statement: "'The King of Soho' chronicles the colourful life and times of Paul Raymond, who began his career on stage as an end-of-the-pier mind-reader and ended his life the richest man in Britain. It's the perfect role for Steve Coogan and it is great we have Anna Friel, Tamsin Egerton and Imogen Poots playing the three most important women in his life."

Paul died in 2008 aged 82.
