While Rebel Wilson is already talking about coming back for a third film, Anna Kendrick is appearing more hesitant, and waiting to see how 'Pitch Perfect 2' connects with audiences first.

'Pitch Perfect 2' isn't even out yet, but as with all things Hollywood these days, its already time to start talking about sequels. Following the huge success of the much-loved 2012 film, Rebel Wilson was one of the first people to get involved with the upcoming sequel only two months after the release. Again, she has expressed her interest in appearing in the third film, while Anna Kendrick seems to be more interested in waiting a while before jumping on board. Well, at least until the film is released.

'Pitch Perfect 2' is out on 15th May 2015

In a recent interview with TIME, Kendrick explained that "I'm not one to count my chickens, so I just want to see how this one does and find out if there's an appetite for that before I even think about it". 'Pitch Perfect 2' isn't out in theatres for another week, although it saw its US premiere in Las Vegas on 20th April 2015.

Anna Kendrick admits she was nervous at first about the idea of a 'Pitch Perfect' sequel.

Pitch Perfect was one of the surprise hits of late 2012, with its combination of catchy songs, clever mash-ups and sharp comedy. It made $113million on a budget of just $17million, and gained even more fans on DVD and Blu-ray. But the film's star, Anna Kendrick, had a few worries about signing up for the inevitable sequel.

When success and failure intertwine in one relationship, things can become strained. That's exactly what happened with Jamie Wellerstein and Cathy Hiatt. The Last Five Years Review

An intimate exploration of a five-year romance through the conflicting points of view of the man and woman involved, this musical is packed with honest, thoughtful observations even if the fragmented structure prevents us from engaging emotionally. Oddly, the story of these years is recounted out of sequence as a series of alternating solos that leap back and forth in time. It's an ambitious approach that probably worked even better on stage in Jason Robert Brown's musical production.

This is the romance of two aspiring artists: actress Cathy (Anna Kendrick) and novelist Jamie (Jeremy Jordan). They meet and fall in love quickly, get married and settle in a New York apartment to build their life together and pursue their dreams. But while Jamie's writing career takes off with his first published book, Cathy struggles to find work and has to travel to Ohio in the summer to perform in a lakeside holiday camp. Back in Manhattan, Jamie's life is a series of glamorous parties where sexy women throw themselves at him. But the worst thing is that Cathy begins to resent his success, while Jamie struggles to encourage her in ways that don't sound patronising. And as they begin to grow apart, these issues only intensify.

Since the scenes play out in seemingly random order, there are no surprising twists and turns in the plot. We know from the opening moment that they are going to split up, and the fragmented structure means that we don't get to watch their happy life unravel. Instead, each achingly truthful scene reveals further details about these two people, swirling their five-year relationship into a collage of emotions, both happy and sad. It only works because it's skilfully directed by Richard LaGravenese (Beautiful Creatures) and acted with open-handed nerve by Kendrick and Jordan.

The Voices Review

Utterly bonkers, this movie confounds any attempt to categorise it, blending comedy, romance, horror and drama to become a true one-off. And it maintains such a darkly playful tone that it's impossible not to smile even as things turn rather hideously nasty. Against all odds, these contradicting moods come together into something surprisingly involving, thanks to skilled director Marjane Satrapi (Persepolis) and clever writer Michael R. Perry. Their approach is so inventive that it's impossible to guess what might happen next.

Set in a small industrial town, the story centres on Jerry (Ryan Reynolds), who was set up with a job in a bathtub factory after his release from a psychiatric institute. Overseen by therapist (Jacki Weaver), Jerry is settling in nicely. He has a crush on Fiona (Gemma Arterton) in accounting, even though it's actually her office colleague Lisa (Anna Kendrick) who likes him. But no one realises that he has gone off his meds and is starting to listen to advice coming from his lovable dog Bosco and his evil cat Mr Whiskers. What they tell him to do is pretty horrific, but he thinks that this is the only way to get his life back on track.

Where the plot goes is seriously grisly, but it's played out by the cast and filmmakers in a blackly comical way that's highly stylised, seeing everything through Jerry's warped perspective. The question is whether he's a serial killer, an insane criminal or an emotionally tormented young man. Whatever, the film is a remarkably internalised exploration of mental illness, because the tone refuses to let us off the hook. And because all of the performances are riotously funny, bridging the gaps between the humour, romance and violence.

Jennifer Aniston delivers an Oscar-calibre performance in this rather over-worked drama, which tries to emphasise heavy-handed metaphors more than the characters themselves. But it's an involving personal odyssey thanks to Aniston's honest acting, and Daniel Barnz's sensitive direction manages to dodge most of the script's more glaring pitfalls.

Aniston plays Claire, a woman who has been in continual pain, both emotional and physical, following the car accident that claimed the life of her young son. Revelling in her bitter sarcasm, she has alienated her husband (Chris Messina), driven her physiotherapist (Mamie Gummer) to despair and so enraged her therapy leader (Felicity Huffman) that she's been thrown out of the group. The only person who patiently sticks by her side is her maid/assistant Silvana (Adriana Barazza), and she's beginning to waver. Then Nina (Anna Kendrick), a therapy-group member, commits suicide, making Claire question why she's still bothering to be alive. There has to be a spark of hope there, and she decides to stalk Nina's single-dad widower Roy (Sam Worthington) for answers.

While the premise seems to set up the usual story about two damaged souls healing each other, the story thankfully doesn't go down that tired route. Instead, Patrick Tobin's script keeps the interaction prickly and unexpected, even as it layers in so much symbolism that it becomes rather exhausting. Claire's physical scarring is clearly indicative of something deeper, as is her array of cruel defence mechanisms. Thankfully, Aniston plays these scenes with a mixture of black comedy and aching sadness that makes the character thoroughly involving and only slightly likeable. Her interaction with Barraza is the heart of the film, beautifully played because their connection remains mainly unspoken. By contrast, Worthington feels almost superfluous; he sharply matches Aniston's cynicism, but is too nice to register very strongly.

Pitch Perfect 2 - International Trailer

Suspended after an unfortunate incident of accidental nudity during a performance of Miley Cyrus' 'Wrecking Ball', the spunky all-girls a cappella singing group the Barden Bellas are subsequently replaced by European champions Das Sound Machine. They've got a lot of work to do if they want to win the World Championships and beat their rivals, and while they've certainly got both the attitude and more than enough talent having previously succeeded at winning the National stakes, whether or not their ideas can bring them further fortune is another matter. Nonetheless, they have each other, and that's the most important thing for them to hold on to right now as now they face more than just embarrassment and Europeans, but prejudice and heavy doubt from the organisers.

The Barden Bellas are back after their impressive victory in a national a cappella chorus competition, where they proved the strength of girl power over some of the biggest choirs in the country. Beca, Emily, Chloe, Aubrey, Cynthia-Rose, Stacie, Lilly, Jessica and Fat Amy have got bigger fish to fry these days, as they eye up global competition ahead of the daunting international contest. They may have bags of confidence, but as no American chorus has ever managed to land the coveted prize before, it may not be enough to get them through this time. Nonetheless, it's time these girls tested their odds against the greatest collective voices on the planet, even if their new rivals are showing some seemingly matchless talent.

Claire Bennett is struggling to get through day-to-day life despite her buffet of pills, one-on-one medical support and the Women's Chronic Pain Support Group she regularly attends. She is forced to cope with the heart-breaking break-up of her relationship but becomes deeply obsessed with the suicide of Nina Collins, another woman from the support group. In a bid to learn more about her death and, indeed, her life, she persuades the group leader to pass on Nina's address. It's then she meets her widower Roy with whom she strikes up a significant relationship, with both of them dealing with the loss of a loved one and their own brand of chronic pain. Meanwhile, Claire frequently experiences hallucinations of Nina, who slowly draws her towards normality and, perhaps, a happier life.

While the people he works with at the bathtub factory think he is just a happy-go-lucky guy, Jerry is steadily trying to stop taking his anti-psychotic medication, and this has led to him believing that his cat and dog are talking to him. After a co-worker (Gemma Arterton) stands him up for a date, Mr. Whiskers the cat convinces him to become a serial killer, despite the dog's better judgement. As Jerry steadily gets further and further down the rabbit hole, his conscience (in the form of his cat and dog) battle for control over whether or not he will just give up and go totally crazy.

Into The Woods Review

It's taken a long time for this stage musical to make it to the big screen, and while director Rob Marshall once again fails to give the story a sharp focus (see also Chicago and Nine), he at least lets the music and characters shine. Originally staged on Broadway in 1987, this musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine is a gleeful mash-up of fairy tales that continues on past the "happily ever after", eventually turning rather dark and emotional.

Once upon a time, there was a Baker and his Wife (James Corden and Emily Blunt) who learn that they can't have children because the Witch (Meryl Streep) next door has cursed them. She offers to break the spell if they collect a cow, a cape, a slipper and a lock of hair. Meanwhile, Jack (Daniel Huttlestone) annoys his mother (Tracey Ullman) by selling the family cow for a handful of "magic" beans; Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford) dodges a leery Wolf (Johnny Depp) following her through the woods; Cinderella (Anna Kendrick) sneaks to the festival to meet the Prince (Chris Pine) against the wishes of her nasty stepmum (Christine Baranski); and Rapunzel (Mackenzie Mauzy) defies her mother by letting her hair down for a Prince (Billy Magnussen). After knotting together, each plot strand resolves happily. Until the next day.

This is very much a story of two halves, with the sharp, snappy, hilarious first act contrasting strongly against the rather disturbingly grim and grisly second act, as everyone's story unravels to reveal each character's deep neediness. What makes this show so clever is the way it undermines the usual fairy-tale happiness of most stories, cautioning that this artifice is actually a problem for children. While the songs are all clever and thoroughly engaging, none of them is particularly hummable on first listen, but each is packed with witty wordplay and serious subtext that gets under the skin.

Being surrounded by award-winning movie stars like Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Anna Kendrick is scary enough without the prospect of singing in front of them. While you'd think Johnny Depp would be used to it, having starred in Stephen Sondheim's Oscar winning film adaptation of 'Sweeney Todd' back in 2007 and appeared in a number of Hollywood blockbusters with the likes of Morgan Freeman, Helena Bonham Carter, Angelina Jolie, Christian Bale and John Malkovich. Life After Beth Review

While zombie rom-coms aren't original (see Shaun of the Dead or Warm Bodies), this take on the genre has such a deadpan tone that it feels refreshingly unpredictable. While the plot sometimes seems like it's going to spin completely out of control, writer-director Jeff Baena (who wrote I Heart Huckabees) holds it together with clever twists and turns and smart, witty dialogue. And the terrific cast helps balance the humour and horror with a hint of emotional depth.

It opens as soulful teenager Zach (Dane DeHaan) is grieving about his recently deceased girlfriend Beth (Aubrey Plaza), who was killed by a snake bite. As Zach and Beth's parents (John C. Reilly and Molly Shannon) help each other get over the shock, they are startled when she arrives back home as if nothing happened. Utterly unaware that she's undead, Beth can't understand why Zach is looking at her strangely, while her parents become super protective, refusing to let her outside for fear that someone will spot a dead girl walking around. Then Zach begins to notice that Beth isn't the only person in town who has come back to life. And when he runs into old friend Erica (Anna Kendrick), Beth's jealousy seems to trigger a full-on zombie invasion.

By focussing on the warped relationships between the characters, the film keeps the audience both involved and entertained. The humour is a mix of bone-dry dialogue and riotously nutty visual gags that escalate as the story progresses. And there are constant wrinkles in the plot, such as how Beth conveniently can't remember breaking up with Zach before she died. Or how Zach's gung-ho brother (a scene stealing Matthew Gray Gubler) reacts to the growing threat of the walking-dead. 'Life After Beth' Adds New Twist To Old Genre

With zombie movies steadily taking over the cinema, ‘Life After Beth’ strives to stand out from the undead crowd.

Zombie movies are as old as cinema itself, kicking off with 1930s hits like 'White Zombies' and 'The Devil's Daughter'. The genre came to mainstream prominence with George A. Romero's 'Night of the Living Dead' in 1968, after which the undead onslaught has been fairly unceasing. But a subset is just as venerable: the zombie comedy, or zom-com, can trace its roots back to 1941's 'King of the Zombies' and 1945's 'Zombies on Broadway'. More recent examples include Peter Jackson's 'Braindead' (1992) and 'Zombieland' (2009).

The most memorable recent zom-com is obviously Edgar Wright's 'Shaun of the Dead' (2004), which introduced a further sub-genre: the zom-rom-com. This paved the way for the likes of the Spanish romp 'Juan of the Dead' (2010), 'Warm Bodies' (2013) and 'All Cheerleaders Die' (also 2013).

The trailer for Disney's latest fairy tale, Into the Woods, has arrived.

Disney’s Christmas offering this year comes in the form of a bewitching fairy tale based on Stephen Sondheim’s award-winning musical, Into the Woods. Set in an alternate world of various Brothers Grimm fairy stories, this modern twist centres around the original tale of a baker and his wife who have been cursed by a witch and must enter into the woods to break the spell so they can start their much-longed for family.

Further well-known classics intertwine with the desperate baker and his wife and they interact with other storybook characters from Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk and Rapunzel on their travels.

The first teaser trailer for Disney's new musical epic Into the Woods has been released, featuring a host of A-List stars.

Cinemas are set to get a whole lot more magical this winter with the release of the film adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's hit Broadway musical, Into the Woods. Directed by Chicago masetro Rob Marshall, the film depicts beloved fairytale characters as they've never been seen before, and features an all-star cast including Meryl Streep, Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine and Johnny Depp.

The story follows the Baker and his Wife, played in the film by James Corden and Emily Blunt, who are cursed by The Wicked Witch (Meryl Streep) to be childless, and subsequently set off on a quest 'into the woods' to find the items they need to break the spell. Along the way they will bump into familiar faces such as Cinderella and her Prince Charming (Anna Kendrick and Chris Pine) and the Big Bad Wolf (Johnny Depp).
