Bon Temps Is At War In Final Season 'True Blood' Trailer

The new season looks particularly violent. And that's saying something with this show.

Straight in the middle of TV’s upfront season True Blood has just released its season 7 trailer. Currently, the popular opinion seems to be that the guilty pleasure series is well past its prime by now and consequently, Sookie Stackhouse’s adventures are getting more outrageous by the episode. Now, the final season is gearing up to tie all the loose ends left.

Watch the first trailer for season 7 below.

The trailer starts with a flashback to the beginning of it all. “I’ve lived in Bon Temps my whole life,” Anna Paquin says via voice-over. “But we can’t go back to the way things were.”

X-Men: Days of Future Past - Clips

The world is verging on an apocalyptic disaster as the mutants continue to engage in vicious battles with only one possible outcome - their extinction. Unfortunately, any chance of saving the world from its oncoming fate has been and gone a long time ago - though there could be a way to change history. The two wisest mutants of the universe, Charles Xavier and Magneto, have been at odds for a great many years, but they must this time unite to have any hope of saving their people. They contact Wolverine to help them on their mission to go back in time and convince their younger selves that trouble lies ahead if they don't make the right decisions; Wolverine is the only one who can take on such a task with his healing powers giving him enough strength, but can he possibly save the future?

X-Men: Days Of Future Past Trailer

The mutants of the world are quickly dwindling in their numbers, tearing each other apart until they are almost wiped out. Two of the wisest X-Men of the universe, Charles Xavier and Magneto, must now join forces despite their hostile relationship to go back in time and fix the world so that their kind can survive the horrors of their ravaged future. The duo enlist Wolverine to help them on their mission; a mutant whose healing powers make him the only one strong enough to travel in time. He must find the impulsive fools that are Xavier and Magneto as much younger mutants and warn them of what their actions will do for their future, while on the way attempt to save the life of an important political figure. Will the X-Men succeed in changing their future? Or are there some things in the past that can never be changed?

'X-Men: Days Of Future Past' is the latest instalment of the Marvel film franchise following on from 2006's 'X-Men: The Last Stand' and 2011's 'X-Men: First Class'. Director Bryan Singer ('The Usual Suspects', 'Superman Returns', 'Valkyrie') returns alongside screenwriter Simon Kinberg ('Mr. & Mrs. Smith', 'Sherlock Holmes', 'Jumper'). The movie is set for release in the UK on May 22nd 2014.

Anna Paquin will no longer feature in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Director Bryan Singer says Oscar-winner Anna Paquin was just one of the "extraneous" things in X-Men: Days of Future Past that had to be cut from the final version. The 31-year-old had reprised her role as Rogue in the forthcoming movie, but she has since been adjudged to be surplus to requirements.

Singer told Entertainment Weekly that Paquin "was just one of the things that had to go," though said the True Blood star had done "a fantastic job" and "completely understood" that she had to be cut.

Fans of the mutant character 'Rogue' will be left disappointed when the hugely anticipated 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past' hits the big-screen as she is edited out of the final cut.

Anna Paquin has been axed from the final cut of 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past'.

The actress has been involved in the mutant film franchise since the first 'X-Men' release back in 2000, but she will not feature in the upcoming sequel due to time constraints.

Director Bryan Singer confirmed the news to Entertainment Weekly that Paquin, who returned to play Maria and her alter ego 'Rogue', was cut from the final copy.

Director Bryan Singer has since said the decision to cut Paquin's screen time as Rogue was only motivated by time constraints

X Men: Days of Future Past has gotten fanboys and comic book movie enthusiast already clipping their heels in anticipation as it looks to reassert the X Men franchise to the top of the comic book movie pecking order. As things seemed to be going swimmingly as the film gradually made its way to the editing stage, with filming all but under wraps, the first major hiccup in it's path to the big screen has been revealed by director Bryan Singer.

Anna Paquin's time on the screen has been severely shortened

As the editing process get into full swing, the first casualty in the mutant army happens to be Anna Paquin's Rogue character, who is having a hefty portion of her screen time cut from the final film reel. A rescue scene supposed take place near the beginning of the film, one involving Rogue, Magneto (Ian McKellen), Professor X (Patrick Stewart) and Iceman (Shawn Ashmore), has been taken out of the final cut for the film, with Singer explaining to Entertainment Weekly that the decision to scrap the sequence shouldn't harm the final cut of the movie, although it does mean Rogue will play a much lighter role in Days of Future Past.

X-Men: Days of Future Past - Teaser Trailer

In a post-apocalyptic world where mutants are now scarce, Charles Xavier must convince Wolverine to travel back in time to warn Xavier's younger self about their impending disaster-struck world. Magneto is also united with his fellow mutants, as now all their kind must stick together if they want to survive a world that they are no longer welcome in. Previously, the battle between humankind and X-Men caused the attempted assassination of an important political figure, something that Wolverine must control as he goes back to instil some knowledge into the much more reckless X-Men of the 1980s.

*Spoilers Alert* 'True Blood' season 6 wrapped up on 18th Aug in a "scorching" finale.

If you haven't seen the final episode of True Blood's sixth season that aired last night (18th Aug) maybe stop reading this page. If you saw it, we bet - like us - that you're pretty confused too and left slightly dazed by the sight of Alexander Skarsgård's full frontal naked performance, before bursting into flames whilst sunbathing in the snow.

So Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Warlow (Rob Kazinsky) were finally set to get married but, as we all know, events in Bon Temps rarely stick to plan and this one went particularly awry. Sookie suddenly decides that she doesn't want to be Warlow's faerie-vampire bride and he suddenly drops his nice-guy façade to show what's been lurking underneath the whole time by tying her up and threatening her. Bill (Stephen Moyer), Jason (Ryan Kwanten) and Andy (Chris Bauer) cross over to the fairy plane and rescue to reluctant bride from her decidedly evil fiancé. Their fight culminates in Warlow getting staked through the chest.

Terry Is Laid To Rest & Bill Survies As The War Continues On 'True Blood': Episode Re-Cap

In an episode that was both moving and, admittedly a little gross, Sunday's (11 August) episode of 'True Blood' pettered on the edge of being great and just being weird

True Blood has so far had a relatively shaky season six, and in the penultimate episode of the current season, we saw exactly why the show has been so hit and miss recently as if bordered on being quite brillant, but ended up being a bit of a let down in the long run as things either took a turn down a dead end or ended up petering out into something a tad ridiculous. Needless to say, this re-cap of Sunday 11 August's episode of True Blood, titled 'Life Matters,' contains spoilers.

In Bon Temps, friends and family have gathered to remember their fallen neighbour, Terry Bellefleur. Initially focusing on Arlene's arrival at the ceremony - and from the get go things weren't as she would have wanted, with a troupe of armed Marines standing at attention and the creepy Reverend Daniels on duty to perform to ceremony - the funeral attendees were a mix of those who truly knew him and what he died for and those who came just to keep up appearances. A feeble attempt at a eulogy from Portia seemed to underline what the enduring memory of Terry for many of the townsfolk following his passing, but a heartfelt remembrance from Lafayette was a much more fitting way to see him off. Mixed with flashbacks and heart-wrenching words in honour of the fry cook, the funeral could have been considered a little too pushy in the emotional stakes, if it wasn't pulled of so well.

The X-Man panel appeared at the San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday. Dozens of actors from across the X-Men films appeared in order to promote their 2014 X-Men: Days of Future Past.

The X-Men cast and crew appeared at the San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday. The huge cast for the upcoming movie X-Men: Days of Future Past appeared in Hall-H and was greeted with an overwhelmingly positive response from fans.

X-Men stars Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart at the Variety Club Showbiz Awards held at the Grosvenor House, London.

The next film will see the cast doubled (quite literally) as the mutant superheroes have to travel in time to change an event which will, if not prevented, destroy mankind. The cast appeared en masse: each taking a few moments to address the audience or in Ian McKellan's case to flirt with Michael Fassbender.

Margaret Review

Excellent

Shot in 2005, Lonergan's film spent six years in legal and editorial limbo. It may be overlong, but it's a powerfully involving exploration of guilt and self-discovery. It's also packed with astonishingly complex characters and situations.

Lisa (Paquin) is a Manhattan teen living with her single mother Joan (Smith-Cameron), an actress starring in her breakout stage role while seeing a new man (Reno). One day Lisa distracts a bus driver (Ruffalo), who hits a woman (Janney) in the street, an accident that sends Lisa into a spiral of sublimated guilt, as she lashes out in different ways at a nice classmate (Gallagher), her teachers (Damon and Broderick) and mostly her mother. And she doesn't stop there, meddling in people's lives in her effort to achieve a sense of justice.

The Romantics Trailer

Lila and Laura were best friends through college, they were always close and their extended set of friends were almost as close as they were. Named 'The Romantics' by other college mates for their almost incestuous dating history the group of seven reunite for the marriage of Lila and Tom. Lila and Laura have both got their history with the groomsman and seeing Laura again appears to have flustered the groom and begins to question his feelings for both women.

Blue State Review

I would imagine that even deep in the heart of Texas, everyone knows somebody like John (Breckin Meyer), the character at the center of Blue State. You remember this guy: He swore in 2004 that if Bush was re-elected to the Presidency he would -- wait for it -- move to Canada, I swear. I worked right next to that guy for a full year, and guess where he moved? Nowhere.

After John Kerry falls to defeat at the hands of Dubya, John finds his campaign promise, aired on television, being taken seriously. He's also lost his job and his girlfriend, so there's really nothing keeping him in California. So, why not? Move to Canada. OK.

X-Men Review

Well, comic book freaks can take a breather, as another sci-fi fantasy hits the big screen, this time in the long-awaited, highly-anticipated, it-better-be-good X-Men.

Without too much regret, I can say that X-Men will be palatable to fans and newbies alike. It's not a great film, but it will probably follow the arc of the Superman and Batman movies -- tons of sequels of variable quality until an abrupt and dismal end a decade later.

It's The Rage Review

Quite a cast has been assembled for this Altman-esque tale of interlocked lives, all clamoring around the "serious social problem" of gun control. While there's no denying that the USA has over fifty million gun owners and it's a subject worthy of address and debate, this movie thuddingly hits the same numb point over and over again: guns are bad, guns can kill. That's about as resonant as It's the Rage will get.

Jeff Daniels and Joan Allen play a miserable suburban couple whose marriage is disrupted by an accidental shooting in their living room at midnight. As it turns out, the guy was Daniels' business partner. Allen moves out in disgust and, through a process of self-discovery, figures out that her happy little life was nothing more than a middle class prison. She hides away at her new workplace, in the employ of eccentric millionaire and computer guru Gary Sinise. Daniels sits at home fuming, renting pornography and playing with his gun.

Finding Forrester Review

They're already calling it "Good Will Hunting in the hood," and it's for good reason. Gus Van Sant's latest takes us back to the inner city (or The Bronx, at least) for a second verse of that feel-good feeling, with none other than Sean Connery as a crotchety old shut-in who teaches (and learns from, natch) a local teen (Rob Brown) who sneaks into his apartment.

If you've seen the trailer, you know the story. The local Bronx kids live in fear of "the window," a ghostlike man who stares down at them creepily while they shoot hoops. On a dare, young Jamal (Brown) sneaks into the place, finding it cluttered with books. He's given a scare and Jamal runs off, leaving his backpack behind.

Buffalo Soldiers Review

Delayed from release for two years due to the world political climate, Buffalo Soldiers is a movie that is categorically worth the wait.

A dark comedy on par with Pulp Fiction, Aussie director Gregor Jordan (in his second film) transports us to Germany in 1989, on an American Army base during the waning days of the Cold War. These enlisted troops aren't your Officer and a Gentleman go-getters. They're criminals, offered the option to serve their country in lieu of staying in jail. But since there's no war on, getting in to trouble is the only thing to do. As our protagonist says, "There was nothing to kill but time."

The Squid And The Whale Review

One feels pretty easy predicting at the start of Noah Baumbach's The Squid and the Whale - after a scene in which a family of four plays tennis and the father keeps hitting the ball so hard that the mother finally gives up in disgust - that divorce is not far away. Note to husbands: Do not try to hit spouse with tennis ball. Be especially wary of said aggressive behavior if that spouse is Laura Linney.

It's Park Slope, Brooklyn, circa 1986, and the Berkman family is splitting up at the mid-swing of the pendulum of the adults' professional lives. On the downswing is the father, Bernard (Jeff Daniels), a professor and once-celebrated writer. Linney plays the mother, Joan, a blossoming writer coming out from under Bernard's shadow. He's been distant and awful, she's had affairs and been generally resentful, so now Bernard is moving to a falling-down house on the far side of Prospect Park while she gets to keep the gorgeous brownstone. The kids, of course, get screwed, with split custody keeping them in one house for half the week and the other house for the rest. Ensuring that things will stay nice and dysfunctional, the kids choose sides, with teenaged Walt (Jesse Eisenberg) sticking with Bernard and even picking up his mannerisms, while younger Frank (Owen Kline) throws in with Joan.
