Fact: Former E.R. favourite Anthony Edwards has been cast as sleuth Nancy Drew's dad in an upcoming U.S. TV CBS pilot based on the Nancy Drew mystery novels. TV bosses have yet to cast the actress who will play the titular character, a New York police detective in her 30s. In the original stories, Drew was a curious teenager.
