The Breakfast Club star has been involved in a long-running dispute with his neighbour Richard Samson over a gated access they share at a Los Angeles condominium complex, and Hall was investigated by police in early September (16) after one angry confrontation. The incident was caught on camera.

Samson won a temporary restraining order against the 48-year-old in September (16), after claiming he broke his wrist and injured his back when Hall shoved him to the ground, but the order was dismissed in October (16).

Hall is reportedly facing up to seven years behind bars over the alleged incident after being charged with felony battery with serious bodily injury in November (16). He has pleaded not guilty, but he has now been slapped with a lawsuit.

In the legal papers obtained by People.com, Samson accuses Hall of negligence, assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional stress.
