Arctic Monkeys have scooped the title of Best Headliner at the European Festival Awards for the second consecutive year.

The British rockers, one of the main acts at Britain's Reading & Leeds festival last year (14), were awarded the top performance prize at the ceremony in Holland on Wednesday (14Jan15).

They celebrated a double win after their track R U Mine? was named Anthem of the Year, and their manager Geoff Barradale praised the song's new status as he collected the awards, saying, "An anthem is a song that gets people putting down their phones. You know that disease? We should all put down our phones and enjoy the moment."

Belgian singer Stromae was awarded Best Newcomer Act, Reading & Leeds festival boss Melvin Benn was handed a lifetime achievement award and Britain's iconic Glastonbury Festival won the Best Line-up title.
