The terrorist bombing that occurred straight after Grande’s performance in the lobby of Manchester Arena on May 22nd last year claimed the lives of 22 people and injured hundreds more.

It’s approaching the first anniversary of the devastating attack, when a suicide bomber claimed the lives of 22 people, and injuring scores more, detonating a device in the foyer of Manchester’s Arena as fans were leaving Ariana’s gig on May 22nd.

Describing the atrocity as “the absolute worst of humanity”, Grande told Time magazine this week for its Next Generation Leaders edition: “There are so many people who have suffered such loss and pain. The processing part is going to take forever.”

American pop star Ariana Grande has teased her first new music since the terrorist attack at Manchester Arena almost a year ago, taking to social media to post a cryptic message.

On Tuesday night (April 17th), Grande posted an upside-down tweet and three Instagram posts suggesting that a new single, possibly named ‘No Tears Left To Cry’ and likely in tribute to the victims of the attack, will be released this Friday. The 24-year-old star last tweeted and Instagrammed on New Year's Day, when she said: “See you next year.”

It comes roughly a month before the first anniversary of the appalling Islamist terror attack that claimed the lives of 22 concert-goers attending Grande’s gig at Manchester Arena on May 22nd last year, injuring several hundred more.

Brit Awards organisers have been left with a headache after Ariana Grande pulled out of a secretly-planned tribute to the victims of last year’s Manchester terror attack, leaving them scrambling to find a replacement with just hours to go ahead of tonight’s performance.

Reports on Wednesday (February 21st) suggested that the 24 year old pop star was lined up to perform at tonight’s ceremony at the O2 Arena in London, in tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack last May at Manchester’s Arena during one of her concerts, which was set to be the pinnacle of the ceremony.

However, it’s understood that Grande has fallen ill in recent days and, despite her intention to come to the BRIT Awards in spite of that, has been ordered by her doctor not to make the trans-Atlantic journey.

Ariana Grande has recalled the dreadful night of the terrorist attack in Manchester at her concert, speaking about the aftermath and how cancelling her tour in its wake was “not an option” for her.

22 fans – including children – were killed by the devastating nail bomb attack in the foyer of Manchester Arena back in May as they left the venue, and dozens more concert-goers were injured. But, while a handful of dates were cancelled in the immediate aftermath of the attack, Ariana and her crew decided that to scrap the entire tour would be to give in to fear.

Speaking to Coveteur, the “Calling it off and going home was not an option. The message of the show was too important. For the crew and everyone involved, it’s become more than just a show for us.”

A 22 year old Colombian man has been arrested after he was suspected of threatening an attack at an Ariana Grande in Costa Rica last weekend.

The threats were reportedly made in Arabic on an online forum, and the man, with the last names of Caicedo Lopez, was detained in a raid in the early hours of Sunday morning (July 9th). The concert went ahead as planned, albeit amid heightened security.

Security had been tightened in any case at Grande’s concerts on her current Dangerous Woman world tour, after the shocking attack by an Islamist extremist at one of her gigs at Manchester’s Arena back on May 22nd. Fans had to pass through three separate security checks before entering the gig in Parque Viva in Costa Rica, the country’s second-biggest city.
