Arnold Schwarzenegger has surely got to rank among the busiest actors in the industry since he returned to making movies after retiring from the world of politics. From the Expendables trilogy to this summer's Terminator: Genisys, the ageing action hero has been involved in a string of big-budget flicks in recent years, and now he is looking forward to resurrecting another of his best-known characters - Conan the Barbarian.

When Entertainment Weekly asked about the status of The Legend of Conan, Arnie revealed he is waiting for the final script rewrites. "They want to film it in the fall,” he said. "I don't know if I will then have the time to film it, but we will sort that out within the next month or two. I can tell you is that it's unbelievably well-written. They're still tweaking the end but it's going to be very very powerful."

Schwarzenegger hasn't played the role of the swordsman since 1984's Conan the Destroyer, and considering the fact that the non-Arnie-related Conan reboot of 2011 was a box-office bomb, he might have had a few concerns about the success of the forthcoming film.

However, he's feeling very positive about it, saying, "What's important on this project is they don't look at it like, 'Oh this is kind of a sword movie, where they just kill each other, and let's write it off as a b-action movie.' They treat it as like, 'This is a very important movie for us, and we want to make a lot of money with this, it has to be the best quality.' So the way they treat it is different than in the old days. Now, they see that it is one of those event movies that can come out in the summer and they treat it totally differently."

Speaking of potential summer hits, Arnold could well be dominating cinemas this July with the release of both Terminator: Genisys and Maggie, a low-budget zombie horror. Watch the trailer for Maggie below.
