Art Garfunkel is set to embark on a tour of American theatres after a four-year hiatus, prompted by his vocal issues.

The singer has cancelled several shows and tours since he discovered he was suffering from vocal cord paresis in 2010, but last year (13) he played a string of small shows, and now he is ready to set out on the road again later this month (Jan14).

A statement from Garfunkel, reads, "The voice is back. I'm in flight again. I believe I have grown through adversity. A new creation has emerged that is truly exciting me - my stage show."

The four-week tour will kick off on 29 January (14) in Franklin, Tennessee.
