The Wild for the Night hitmaker is still mourning the loss of his best friend Yams, real name Steven Rodriguez, who died from acute mixed drug intoxication in January (15), and now Rocky reveals he is working on completing the project he and the 26 year old had started before his sudden passing.

Rocky tells Britain's BBC 1xtra radio station, "Now I'm working on Yams' album. (He) started the album before he passed, and he left his notebooks and blueprints.

"I'm just picking up where he left off - me and him was gonna (sic) do the album together. He was working on a crazy album."

And the hip-hop star promises fans the tribute album to Yams, who founded Rocky's A$AP Mob group in 2007, won't be a disappointment: "I'm letting people know that if I do something good, the next thing I do will have to be great."

Rocky recently honoured Yams' memory on the cover of his new release, At.Long.Last.A$AP, by featuring an image of himself with Yams' distinctive birthmark on his face.
