Ashley Greene is to star in 'Satanic'.

The 'Twilight Saga' actress is reportedly being lined up for a role in the Weinstein Company's much-awaited horror movie - which was previously known as 'Kristy' - alongside Haley Bennett, The Wrap reports.

The film follows a group of college students who are attacked in their dormitory during Thanksgiving break, with the survivors on the hunt for their attackers.

The official synopsis reads: ''With the rest of the campus home for the Thanksgiving holiday, Justine and a few of her friends spend the weekend in their college dormitory: studying, relaxing and blissfully unaware of the terror that is about to unfold outside in the cold.

''Suddenly, confronted by a gang of violent outcasts, Justine's quiet long weekend becomes one long lesson in survival as her and her classmates are terrorised in increasingly bizarre and brutal ways, leaving it up to her to figure out who her attackers are...and if they can be stopped.''

The film is expected to shoot in New Orleans later this month and through much of December.

The Weinstein Company are producing the movie along with David Kirschner, Corey Sienega, Jamie Patricof and Lynette Howell.

'Donkey Punch' helmsman Oliver Blackburn is on board to direct the project, working from a script written by 'Vanishing on Seventh Street' scribe Anthony Jaswinski.
