The I Want It That Way singer has co-written the movie, which he will also direct and star in, and he added more pop power to the cast by inviting other '90s singers to join the cast.

Signing on for the made-for-TV film are O-Town's Jacob Underwood, Trevor Penick and Erik Michael Estrada, 98 Degrees' Jeff Timmons, All-4-One singer Delious Kennedy and No Authority star Tommy D.

Carter previously revealed his bandmates A.J. MCLean and Howie Dorough, and 'N Sync singer Joey Fatone were signed on to the project.

Production is already underway in Montana for Dead 7, which is described as the story of a "ragtag band of gunslingers who must rid a small town of a zombie plague in a post-apocalyptic West."

Carter, whose wife Lauren Kitt Carter is also in the film, has teamed up with bosses at production company The Asylum, the company behind the cult Sharknado films, for the project.
