The website remained down on Sunday (23Aug15) and organisers admitted fans would be unable to buy tickets until at least Tuesday (25Aug15).

A statement posted online reads, "We would like to apologise to anyone attempting to buy tickets online... Due to unprecedented demand 'the UK's most disappointing new visitor attraction' is currently unable to process online ticket sales. Online bookings will be taken from Tuesday 25th August."

The artist's alternative attraction in the English coastal town of Weston-Super-Mare, described by organisers as a festival of art, amusements and entry-level anarchism, has caused a frenzy amongst Banksy fans and many have been queuing for hours and camping overnight in a bid to gain entry to the park.

The exhibition features work by more than fifty other artists, including Damien Hirst.

Dismaland is open until 27 September (15).
