The Beatles' Album Recording Sessions At London's Iconic Abbey Road Studios Are To Be Recreated For A New Stage Musical.
A replica of the building's Studio Two will be built at London's Royal Albert Hall for the production, which is set to open next year (16) and show how Beatles albums such as Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band were made.
The musical's producer, Stig Edgren, tells Britain's The Times newspaper it will be a "a musical documentary giving an audiences an honest, respectful and accurate re-creation of how music history was made".
Edgren goes on to insist the actors will not impersonate the Fab Four, adding, "I didn't want it to be another lookalike show... We're not trying to look like the Beatles. We (are) trying to sound like them. The idea is you're watching them in recording session mode."
The Sessions at Abbey Road is scheduled to open on 1 April, 2016.
