Cult rockers POSTAL SERVICE have accused computer giant Apple of filming a "shot-for-shot" remake of one of their music videos for a TV commercial without their permission.

The duo - Ben Gibbard and JIMMY TAMBERELLO - are convinced Apple deliberately copied their SUCH GREAT HEIGHTS promo, especially as both shorts were directed by the same people.

In a post on the band's website, Gibbard writes: "It has recently come to our attention that Apple Computers' new television commercial for the Intel chip features a shot-for-shot recreation of our video for Such Great Heights made by the same film-makers responsible for the original.

"We did not approve this commercialisation and are extremely disappointed with both parties that this was executed without our consultation or consent."

At present, neither Postal Service nor their record label plan to launch legal action against Apple.
