Lawyers representing Bette Davis' estate are suing a clothing company for allegedly using the late actress' name to sell dresses.
In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Thursday (13Jan11), representatives for Davis' estate allege bosses at Stop Staring! Designs are infringing on their right of publicity by using the Oscar-winner's name for a line of vintage-style gowns.
The company is allegedly selling designs including the Betty Davis dress for just under $200 (£130), reports TMZ.com.
The lawsuit is seeking damages as well as an order halting the sale of the products.
