The R&B world rejoiced this week with news that Destiny's Child are to return with new material. Though website and blogs - us included - have been banding about the words "comeback" and "reunion" with regards to Beyonce, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland, are we all getting ahead of ourselves?

We do know that the multi-million selling trio have recorded a new track, 'Nuclear' produced by Pharrell Williams, though there's no guarantee the women were even in the studio at the same time and there's certainly no indication of further releases or live shows. In a week that has seen the surprise comeback of David Bowie, Beyonce posted an excited message on her website, "I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny's Child music in eight years!" she wrote. However, for now, all we know is that the girls have recorded the track to sell their forthcoming compilation album, Love Songs, set for release on January 29, 2013. The song closes out the new album, which comprises of the group's greatest love songs, including Second Nature, Now That She's Gone, Emotion and If You Love. It's difficult to envisage Beyonce teaming up with Williams and Rowland for anything substantial and she seems far more concerned with her fifth studio album, telling GQ recently, "I've been working with Pharrell and Timbaland and Justin Timberlake and [The] Dream. We all started in the '90s, when R&B was the most important genre, and we all kind of want that back: the feeling that music gave us."

In their first spell together, Destiny's Child became the biggest R&B group in the world with hits including Bills, Bills, Bills and Bootylicious and Survivor.

Will you buy Love Songs for the new track Nuclear?
