Big Time Rush star James Maslow has helped to make a fan's dream come true by treating her to a trip to Disneyland.

Ohio student Hannah Wackernagle, who has Down Syndrome, recently asked Maslow to be her date to her high school prom, but he was unable to attend due to scheduling conflicts.

However, Maslow, who is currently competing on U.S. reality show Dancing with the Stars, wanted to make it up to Wackernagle and decided to fly the 18 year old, her mother and her sister out to California for a trip to the theme park this weekend (12-13Apr14).

Maslow also invited Wackernagle to the Los Angeles studios for Dancing with the Stars, where he treated her to their own "prom" in the show's ballroom, complete with a dance.

The teen was also given tickets to watch Maslow from the Tv audience on Monday (14Apr14).

He tells People.com, "It was the perfect week, because I knew she was (not only) a big Big Time Rush fan, but also a big Disney fan. So (my professional dance partner) Peta (Murgatroyd) and I got together and got her tickets and we went on a bunch of rides and we got Mickey Mouse ears."

He adds, "This was a really unique opportunity for me. We get Tweets and mail every day saying, 'You help me, you make me smile, you've changed my life in a way' - but to be able to actually see it with someone and make their dream come true (is fulfilling).

"Prom would have been cool, (but) this weekend was even cooler. I tried to make it as awesome as possible, and how often (do you) get that opportunity? To me, it was really a blessing to have her and her family come out."
