The rappers, who have a long standing feud with Lil Wayne, were named in the indictment of Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, the man accused of opening fire on the Lollipop hitmaker's vehicle.

Legal documents obtained by TMZ.com suggest Winfrey called a phone belonging to Birdman, real name Bryan Williams, moments after he shot at the bus.

Birdman and Young Thug have not been charged with any crimes related to the shooting.

The news comes just a day after Young Thug was arrested in Georgia on an outstanding warrant for allegedly making terrorist threats.

The Danny Glover hitmaker was detained by U.S. Marshals on Wednesday (15Jul15) following an incident during which he allegedly threatened to shoot a mall security officer on 7 July (15).

Police also executed a search warrant on his Sandy Springs home and he has reportedly been booked for felony cocaine and marijuana possession and three counts of felony gun possession, according to TMZ.com.

He is currently being held at the DeKalb County Jail.
