Black Lips Katrina Single

Inspired by the events of Hurricane Katrina & the devastation caused in New Orleans, 'Katrina' is the 2nd single from the Black Lips fourth studio album 'Good Bad, Not Evil'.

Despite the mournful lyrics "You saw a highway down in New Orleans/ I can't believe what I saw on the telescreen/O, Katrina! Why could you be so mean?" This single is actually a lovely up-tempo rock number with jangling, fuzzy guitars. And the 60's styled, lo-fi ramshackle approach should appeal to fans of the likes of The Stooges & The Velvet Underground. Pretty solid.
