Blake Harrison And Maxine Peake Star In 'Keeping Rosy' [Trailer]

Maxine Peake Blake Harrison

Shameless and Silk actor Maxine Peake combines with Blake Harrison, known for his goofy character Neil on The Inbetweeners, in ‘Keeping Rosy’ – a tense, low-fi British thriller centred on Charlotte, a career-obsessed workaholic whose work and personal life takes multiple turns for the worst in a matter of hours.

Keeping RosyMaxine Peake stars in 'Keeping Rosy'

Having chosen a career in advertising over any semblance of a meaningful personal life, Peake’s character’s life is constantly a fragile balance. ‘Keeping Rosy’ is a film about the tense balance between work and life, focussing on the intense pressure for people to succeed in an increasingly competitive, cut-throat marketplace.

The trailer has finally been released for the long-awaited sequel to 2011's The Inbetweeners Movie, The Inbetweeners 2. Jay, Simon, Neil and Will are back for another round of lewd, rude and cringe-worthy hijinks...but this time they're Down Under.

The Sequel Sees The Guys Applying Their Very Unique Girl-Charming Skills Down Under.

Yes indeed, after the last movie was set mainly in Malia where the guys ventured for their summer holiday, the sequel will be based in Australia as the boys take a gap year before embracing their lives as adults. "You know why they call it Down Under?" says Jay. "'Cause that's where your face spends most of the time."

The Inbetweeners 2 Trailer

The four musketeers are back once again after their eventful (and mostly deeply embarrassing) post-A Level escapades in Malia. While we saw them apparently bag themselves the girls of their dreams, unsurprisingly it doesn't look like the romance has lasted and now they are back to their single selves - well, apart from Simon. When Simon, Will and Neil decide to join Jay on his gap year in sunny Australia, Simon struggles to dump his overbearing and uber needy girlfriend. He's still as awkward as ever, Neil's still stupid, Jay is still a total liar and Will's mum is still fit, but the boys have a brand new car now dubbed the 'Mobile Virgin Conversion Unit'. Armed with sunscreen, condoms and bags of charm, these lads are on one last mission to climb the social hierarchy ladder.

'The Inbetweeners 2' follows on from the pre-university lads' holiday of 'The Inbetweeners Movie'; an award winning big screen spin-off of the popular Channel 4 comedy series. With Ben Palmer having directed the first movie, creators of the TV series Damon Beesley and Iain Morris have taken on the role this time while also writing the script. The movie is scheduled to hit the UK and Ireland on August 6th 2014.

The Inbetweeners Movie Sequel Will Be Set In Australia, But Why?

The cast of The Inbetweeners will be headed to Australia to film the next feature-length chapter in the crude and hilarious exploits of the four friends, Neil, Simon, Jay and Will. The 2011 movie was so well received that the comedy's creators have set their sights on another movie, this time set Down Under, according to Iain Morris and Damon Beesley.

Producers have confirmed that The Inbetweeners Movie 2 will be shot in Australia this month before the team heads back to the UK in January with a Summer 2014 release date pencilled in, according to distributor EFD, via Digital Spy. There's little confirmed information about the new film's plotline at the moment but the show's creators have revealed where the sequel will be set.

More Awkward Moments And Lovable Faux Pas As Inbetweeners 2 Is Confirmed

The Inbetweeners Blake Harrison Joe Thomas James Buckley

The Inbetweeners holds a unique place in British hearts. It started out as a Channel 4 comedy, featuring the burgeoning talents of four young guys, and was quietly adored by a loyal audience.

Suddenly, the indie-pop scene connections got bigger, the in-jokes got quoted and before you knew it, “bus w***er” and “care friend” were basically phrases. People said them as phrases. It became a phenomenon, and while many considered the apex of the franchise to arrive with the first feature film, they’d be wrong.

A second one is on the way, promising more ridiculous girl-hunting, the bonds of friendship and above all, banter fuel, because you haven’t actually got any real things to talk to your mates about anyway, have you? The news was announced via the film’s Facebook page, which, given the target demographic, is the only real place to put it.

Drop Everything Else, 'The Inbetweeners' Are Coming Back In 2014!

In a year filled with sequels, the announcement of the second Inbetweeners movie still comes as a bit of a surprise. But the first movie, based on the cult E4 show did go on to become a huge hit, so the second one is probably a good investment. The 2011 Inbetweeners movie, which centered around Will, Jay, Simon and Neil heading off to the Greek island of Crete for a post-graduation holiday, became the highest grossing comedy in the history of British cinema. With an opening weekend of £13 million and over £80 million in worldwide earnings, the film set the bar high for future sequels.
