Blake Shelton is shocked to discover that he has been named 2017's Sexiest Man Alive, especially since he considers himself 'fat' and 'ugly'. Still, when you have a girlfriend like Gwen Stefani, you must start to suspect that something's wrong about the way you see yourself.

The 41-year-old country hero and 'The Voice' coach has been named People's Sexiest Man Alive for 2017, taking the place of last year's hunk Dwayne Johnson. He's looking forward to using the title to his best advantage, despite how unlikely a recipient he feels he is.

'Y'all must be running out of people', he joked to People. 'Like, Wow, we're down to somebody who is somewhat symmetrical.'

As modest as he is though, he decided that he should probably take Gwen's advice and take the compliment. 'She goes, 'Listen to me, you're going to regret this for the rest of your life if you don't take this gift and just live in the moment'.'

He's also looking at it as an opportunity to get one over on his fellow 'Voice' coach Adam Levine, who was named Sexiest Man Alive back in 2013. 'I can't wait to shove this up Adam's a**', he said. 'As proud as I am and honored that you guys asked me, that's really the only thing I care about.'

With that being the case, he expects the same treatment that Adam got - though he's going to be careful not to waste it. 'When [people] would say to Adam, 'Mr. Sexy,' you'd always see him go, 'Well, awwww.' If you say that to me, it's going to be, 'You're damn right, I'm Mr. Sexy!''

'I've been ugly my whole life, if I can be sexy for a year, I'm taking it', he added. 'I think to describe myself as a child, one word comes to mind. And that's fat. People say I haven't changed since before I made it. And I'm still fat today. That's proof!'
