Bleachers have got involved with Google Play's Free Album of the Week promotion by giving away a new album entitled 'Terrible Thrills Vol. 2', which is now available to download completely free of charge for a limited time only - so grab it quickly while the offer lasts.

Jack Antonoff of BleachersJack Antonoff continues his Steel Train tradition with 'Terrible Thrills Vol. 2'

The album is rather a companion album to Bleachers' debut album 'Strange Desire', featuring all the best tunes re-worked by stellar artists such as Sia ('Like a River Runs'), Charli XCX ('Rollercoaster') and Carly Rae Jepsen ('Shadow') among others. It's a reward for all the devotion fans have shown to Jack Antonoff and his latest pop project, as well as all his previous work with the likes of Fun. and, of course, Steel Train. 'Terrible Thrills Vol. 2', in fact, follows Steel Train's 2010 remix collection ('Terrible Thrills, Vol. 1') which had appearances the likes of Scarlett Johansson, Tegan and Sara, and Amanda Palmer, not to mention Jack's older sister Rachel Antonoff.

Google Play's previous Free Album of the Week was Jason Derulo's latest album 'Everything is Four', which aptly reached number four in the US Album Chart and featured the Platinum single 'Want to Want Me'.

Bleachers have been on their 'Come Alive!' tour this year, featuring opening acts Night Terrors of 1927 and Joywave, as well as their summer stint with Charli XCX, 'Charli And Jack Do America'. But after the success of 2014's 'Strange Desire', we can't wait to see what comes out of the studio as Jack brews his second offering - hopefully with some of his newfound collaborators whom you may have noticed are mostly women.

'I love female voices', he revealed on Facebook. 'I wish I had one. When I write songs I typically hear things in a female voice and then match it an octave lower so I can hit the notes.

'I think every record I make should have a female companion record to go with it.'

Not only is 'Terrible Thrills Vol. 2' being given away this week, but his mockumentary 'Thank You and Sorry' can also be downloaded for free on Google Play; a worthy look into the mind of Jack Antonoff as he tours alongside his band, with a few unexpected twists along the way.
