Three years might not sound like a long time to wait for an album, but it feels like we've been waiting a lifetime for the follow-up to Bleachers' debut record. Thankfully, we don't have much longer to wait; new single 'Don't Take The Money' is the first track from their summer release.

Since 2014's 'Strange Desire', Bleachers frontman Jack Antonoff has been extremely busy on other projects, most recently co-writing and co-producing Lorde's new album 'Melodrama'. We have to say though, we've been missing Bleachers, and 'Don't Take The Money' featuring backing vocals from Lorde herself doesn't disappoint.

''Don't Take The Money' is a phrase I say in my head all the time', says Jack. 'It has nothing to do with actual money. It means to follow the light. Don't ignore a gut feeling. 'Don't take the money.' I repeat it to myself when I'm trying to stay on track. Specifically in this song I'm writing about my relationship and the verse and chorus run quickly through the past and the fight leading to the euphoria of seeing the light with someone else.'

Jack's announcement of the single was pretty unique; he left a pinata in his own image on a bench in Times Square, that fans split open to reveal a USB stick with the song on it.

The second album (the title of which is yet to be announced) is set to arrive this summer through Columbia Records, during which time they'll also be embarking on a North American tour. The shows will include support from MUNA and MisterWives, as well as festival appearances at the likes of Shaky Knees, Sasquatch Festival, Firefly and Governor's Ball.

Jack also has a new book coming this year, which is an exploration of now outdated record stores. Plus, he will be doing a live-score for a screening of 'The Breakfast Club' in Los Angeles tomorrow (April 1st 2017).
