Reggae Great Bob Marley's Unreleased Early Recordings Are To Feature In A New Movie About The Legend's Musical Beginnings.
Rebels will not focus on the No Woman No Cry hitmaker, but the four men who discovered and mentored him, including JAD Records founder Johnny Nash, who first signed the star, and his partner, Danny Sims.
A press release announcing the project reads: "Bob Marley is taken on an adventure on which he built his career. Never before revealed stories and music will show a side of the legend that few would ever imagine."
Executives at Golden Island Filmworks, who are developing the biopic after striking a landmark deal with the Antiguan government, have secured the rights to the never-before-released JAD Records catalogue of Marley's music for the project.
