Channel 4 is to broadcast a special episode of runaway favourite ‘Gogglebox’, featuring celebrities such as Boy George, Miranda Hart and Geri Halliwell shouting things at the TV and each other.

As part of a night of one-off programming tonight (Friday October 9th) in order to raise money and awareness for the charitable organisation Stand Up To Cancer, a star-studded line-up will be sitting in front of their televisions for a night in and commenting on the week’s shows.

So, if you’ve wondering whether Boy George swears at his TV, you’ll be able to see him alongside his ‘80s pop star colleague Marilyn, with whom he’s often had a turbulent relationship in the past. The pair’s ups and downs were dramatized in a TV biopic ‘Worried About the Boy’ back in 2010, and former Spice Girl Geri will be sitting between them in a bid to keep the peace.

Other celebrities will include comic actor Nick Frost and Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan enjoying a lads night in with pizza and beer. Miranda Hart will be sitting alongside her on-screen mother Patricia Hodge, from her show ‘Miranda’, and comedian Lee Mack will be alongside the cast from his show ‘Not Going Out’.

Channel 4 will also be putting out special episodes of ‘First Dates’, ‘The Last Leg’ and ‘Alan Carr: Chatty Man’ as part of the night of programming. On Carr’s show will apparently be Jonathan Ross, Sue Perkins, This Is England actor Thomas Turgoose and ‘Made In Chelsea’s Jamie Laing.

The network did a similar thing last year, when the likes of Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Oasis songwriter Noel Gallagher took aim at people on the TV.

Ed Havard, C4’s Head of Live Events, said in a press release: “The success of the partnership between C4 and CRUK on Stand Up to Cancer has been remarkable and we have raised many millions of pounds to fund ground breaking cancer trials. We are hugely grateful to all the talent and production companies involved in this campaign and of course to the public who have donated so generously.”
