The 'Fury' star and the 'Unbroken' director have been named in Manhattan's Observer newspaper's L.A. Power 25 list, which celebrates the deal makers, creatives and philanthropists of Hollywood.

Others to make the list included 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' director J.J.Abrams as well as a host of CEOs and chairmans from some of the industry's biggest companies including Universal Pictures, Live Nation and Marvel Studios.

Shonda Rhimes, dubbed as the ''ABC saviour'', also made the list for her work behind the scenes on some of the country's most popular television shows.

Writing about the 45-year-old screenwriter, producer and director, the newspaper added: ''Her TGIT lineup has given the network a double-digit ratings bump for the night, and all three of her shows have ranked in Nielsen's top 10 Twitter TV Ratings.''
