We don’t hear much about Brad Pitt’s upcoming World War II drama, Fury – apart from whispers of discontent from the locals, anyway. But finally, a behind the scenes video of the drama starring Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peña, Jon Bernthal, Jason Isaacs, and Scott Eastwood has hit at E3, giving us a peek inside this promising project.

Ayer promises the film will be “a movie about World War II, the likes of which we haven’t seen before” Speaking about the main characters, he says in the video: “They’re exhausted, they’re tired, they’re grief-stricken, they’re combat fatigued. It’s really about a family under incredible stress.”

In the actual video, which you can watch if you click right about here, we are privy to some nice looking footage of the film, which looks as dark and atmospheric as you’d expect from Ayer. The fact he’s promising a different kind of WWII movie is cool considering the sheer volume of them, not to mention the quality (Saving Private Ryan is hard to beat, that’s for sure.)

And considering we were at E3, the conversation soon flipped over to gaming. Sony Pictures and Wargaming.net are cross-promoting Fury and World of Tanks ahead of the film's release and that includes developing some in-game content for World of Tanks that ties into Fury.

It’s synopsis time: In Fury, it is April, 1945.  As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines.  Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
