Bret Michaels Meltdown: Did It Happen, Or Is It A Vicious Web Rumor?

BRET MICHAELS

BRET MICHAELS' meltdown has been a point of online discussion for over 24 hours now, though nobody really knows quite whether it happened or not. In case you hadn't heard, Michaels was the first competitor fired by Donald Trump on the premiere of 'All-Star Celebrity Apprentice.' It was shock result, though RadarOnline.com said the Poison rocker completely broke down afterwards. "Bret was crying and totally distraught after he was fired," said a source, "He couldn't believe it that he was let go so quickly. It was brutal to watch him freaking out the way he did." The insider said Bret was certain he was going to win for a second time.

The report is at odds with new information given to Zap2It's Molly Chance, which reports of there being no "meltdown" after the Celebrity Apprentice taping. A production insider says Bret "wasn't stoked" about getting the boot, though left the show with his head held high. "Bret was not happy to be fired, but did not have a meltdown," said the insider, who noted that Michaels was trying to earn some cash for a cause close to his heart, the American Diabetes Foundation. His team-mate Omarosa Manigault appeared to conspire to get him eliminated from the show, which hurt Michaels the most.

Michaels - who suffers from Type 1 Diabetes - brought in $640,000 for his chosen foundation after winning season three of the reality show.

Poison Singer Bret Michaels Has Meltdown Over Celebrity Apprentice Firing

BRET MICHAELS

When BRET MICHAELS was invited back onto the US version of Celebrity Apprentice, as a past champion, he probably wasn’t expected to be the first contestant to be booted off the show. Having said that, when Donald Trump fired Bret Michaels, who returned to the show as a past champion, he probably wasn’t expecting Bret to have a mini-meltdown over it. It’s just for fun, after all, right? Right, Bret?

Apparently not, as RadarOnline report that Bret took the whole thing rather hard and the Poison singer had to be comforted by the shows producers, it appears. An insider on the show told the site “Bret was crying and totally distraught after he was fired.” It seems as though the long-haired rocker was convinced that he’d be able to repeat his former success on the show once more and was shocked when that turned out not to be the case this time around. “Bret totally went into the show believing he was going to win,” the source explained. “He couldn’t believe it that he was let go so quickly. It was brutal to watch him freaking out the way he did… It was a mess when Bret was told the news and filming was done… No one expected him to have a meltdown like that.”

Still, Trump had to choose between Michaels and La Toya Jackson and he opted to give Michaels the boot, safe in the knowledge that he’d already had his time in the limelight. So, was Bret ever really in with a chance, or was Trump simply toying with him by inviting him back?

Celebrity Apprentice Line-Up Revealed: The Busey Is Back!

Gary Busey BRET MICHAELS Stephen Baldwin Trace Adkins Lil Jon Marilu Henner Lisa Rinna La Toya Jackson Penn Jillette

The Celebrity Apprentice has revealed its cast for its forthcoming new series. Donald Trump returns to host the show and there are fourteen "celebrities" (the term appears to be getting more and more loosely judging by the names involved) who will be vying for the attention of the business mogul.

Ready for some the list, then? Here you go: BRET MICHAELS, Trace Adkins, Lil Jon, Marilu Henner, Lisa Rinna, La Toya Jackson, Gary Busey, Stephen Baldwin, Penn Jillette and Omarosa are among the names included for the forthcoming season. Busey's a personal favourite of ours thanks to his hilariously awful turn in the 1992 classic 'Under Siege'. If this season goes anything like that film, expect Busey to be bursting out of a cake dressed as a woman and wearing lipstick. Will it be enough to win him the competition? Hard to tell.

Stephen Baldwin commented on the show "So far it's been very sweet and peaceful and calm, but that's kind of scary. I think we've got a couple of zingers coming. It should be very exciting." Bret Michaels comeback to the show will hopefully be a smoother one for him. The Poison front man won the 2010 edition of the program, but did so whilst battling serious health problems. "I was really sick, and this time I'm ready to come back, but being a lifelong diabetic, I'm ready," he said. The winner, as usual, gains $250,000 for a charity of their choice. and a badly needed profile boost.
