Brian McFadden is supporting his ex-wife Kerry Katona through her recent split from her husband George Kay.

The former Westlife singer, 35, has admitted the reality TV star is ''very upset'' following her break-up with her third spouse and he's promised he'll be there for her through it all.

He said: ''I've told her that I'm there for if she needs me.''

The Irish hunk, who married Kerry in 2002 before splitting with her four years later, has been taking care of their two daughters Molly, 14, and Lilly-Sue, 12 to give her a ''break.''

But he has also offered to look after her other children, Heidi, eight and Max, seven - from her marriage with Mark Croft - and 17-month-old daughter Dylan, whom she has with George, if she needs some time on her own.

He explained to OK! magazine: ''Molly and Lilly are spending a bit of time at mine at the moment but I've said that I'll look after all her kids if she needed a bit of a break.''

The former Atomic Kitten singer, 35, announced earlier this month she was divorcing George following 11 months of marriage after he was allegedly arrested for assaulting her.

Her spokesperson confirmed: ''It is with deep sadness that Kerry announces the end of her marriage to George Kay. Her focus now will be on her gorgeous children.''

The blonde beauty allegedly ''sustained bruising to her face and arms'' during an altercation with the sportsman, which took place at the pair's home in Crowborough, East Sussex.
