Actress Brie Larson Is Reportedly In Negotiations To Replace Emma Stone As Billie Jean King In Battle Of The Sexes.
The Amazing Spider-Man star Stone was forced to pass on the role due to a scheduling conflict, according to Variety.com, and now Trainwreck actress Larson has emerged as the favourite to portray King opposite actor Steve Carell, who has been cast to play Bobby Riggs in the film about the match between the two tennis greats in 1973.
The project is not the only movie in the works about the match King won - Elizabeth Banks and Paul Giamatti will star in Proof, as King and Riggs respectively, while Will Ferrell is attached to star in Match Maker, a film which also chronicles the groundbreaking tennis game, which became known as the Battle of the Sexes.
